I was shocked to discover cartwheels feel terrifying and impossible at 53, even though I used to do them alllll the time when I was a kid. I thought muscle memory would kick in, but my fear of hurting myself wouldn’t let me throw myself into a cartwheel. Sigh.

It also depends on your personality, values, and intentions. If you lie, your memory is going to fail you

I remember rarely what is the color of sweatshirt that my friend wear, but I usually remember how are produced sweatshirts. That rule is all around in my life.

Episodic memory also remains the same or stable. It depends on the person if he or she wants to reveal all the details .. that could also depend on the extraneous things like ..: time you have to tell the story… context why you are bringing up the story .. what aspects do you want to highlight :..

When was this first studied, and exactly how was the data collected? Will you please cite the scientific sources that you used to obtain & provide this information, for those interested? Thank you.

yeah I kind of just assumed this happened so whenever I recall a memory I actively try not to edit or misremember it. I actually think about this all the time, I really don't want to overwrite my original memories.

Not entirely accurate I think. I can have a memory of an event from before I forgave the person, and memories of the same event after I forgave the person.

Also short term memory of names and experiences, especially of those were through a screen and not in person, are not alway reliable for many people’s short term memory bank. Who would mention them with full confidence, I know this from first hand experience 😂, good rule of thumb if you are not 100% sure do not share.
