Didn’t have drains and a sump prior when building ? It’s code here… drains on the exterior is a good idea but should have all of that done… 80 tons of stone under my house … wasn’t playing with any water in a new build

This is why I don’t do residential construction anymore. Customer says they want the work done cheap an done a certain way so the contractor does it and when it doesn’t work they sue for a decision they made 😂

I do drains. Questions: 1. was drain at the creek below water in the spring. 2. was there a check valve to prevent water from back-flowung. 3. did the water drain away from the basement until spring?
