I keep track of how much of an item we use and when that item goes on sale I will buy what we need for a whole year. Example: Kerry Gold butter is currently $15.99 but it goes on sale 2 times a year for $10.99 and when it goes on sale I buy what we’ll use for the year. There are several things I do this on and it’s a huge savings. I’m a big canner and this is a huge savings plus I know what’s in it and no waste

As a brit i just think it's hilarious that not using paper plates is a big thing. We dont even overly use paper towels. I have some but predominantly i use cloths. The same with cutlery we dont use disposable.

I bought flannel sheets from the thrift store and cut them into reusable paper towels...then put on an empty paper towel roll. works great!

Ok rapid fire questions: what do you set your water heater to (when it’s working 🤣)? That’s a big marital argument here. On the buy nothing pages, do you just look for people to post things and snag them up or do you post things you are looking for? The ones in my area there is never really anything posted. I keep trying to find a good buy nothing group and hasn’t found one yet. If you have time and haven’t already, can you show how and what you use to collect rain water and a video on eco bricking?? Never seen that before. And final question- what do you set your shower timer to? 😁

i always wondered about US outlets, in the uk we have a switch to turn the power on, on each outlet, so no need to unplug everything.
