I’m crying over the fact that Koch said she was gonna sleep “upside down” with her feet in the little space “above” them and ACTUALLY does it! And she demonstrates it in an interview! That and I was watching them do some crew stuff like the flywheel (inside shot) and eat and she just, tucked herself in there and munched away, happy as a clam. (Did some work up there too) it’s the cutest thing. That and the crew brought a little moon plush with an earth hat. And there’s an Artemis plushie on a desk behind CAPCOM!!! This whole thing has been so exciting!!

the golden disks make me sob. we all came together to put everything that we are into a record and showed aliens how to play it and then gave them a map of where we are because we want to meet them.

I showed my 2 year old the launch and said they were going to space and she said “they’re gonna say hi to the moon! Hi Moon!” And I lost it. Yeah baby, we’re going to say hi to the moon.

We needed this little bit of joy and pride and poetry so badly with everything else going on. Like seeing the Sailor Moon Artemis plush in the NASA command center on someone's desk; seeing someone say they have a piece of the original Wright flyer with them; seeing people say Challenger's crew kept them safe on ascent, Laika is keeping them safe up there while they do maneuvers that Apollo's crew did first, and Columbia's crew will keep them safe on return. 😭💜

Artemis IV is the moon landing mission and it’s currently planned for May of 2028. I better see so many themed watch parties with people dressing up as astronauts and aliens and their favorite constellations
