for someone who works at the airport. you can have individual bags for your pumps then a cooler for the milk. Just say its medical and they can not ask more questions. and for TSA I recently traveled with frozen and thawed milk. they did not test my milk when it was frozen solid but I had a bottle of milk they waved a test paper over the milk while swirling the bottle just make sure u pack PLENTY of ice packs

A cooler counts as a medical bag but I just go ahead and check my yeti cooler because it gets heavy and I’ve not had an issue with my breast milk thawing

Not a mom quite yet, but I have been trying to prepare, the book Work Pump Repeat has been helpful and has a whole section on traveling. I think your milk and pumps are both allowed, in addition to regular bags. I do think they can maybe test your milk. I’ve heard it’s easier if it’s frozen. But not speaking from any experience yet.

Nothing for breastmilk or pumping is considered a carry on. They will not open any of the breast milk but I did not have them test anything. I even brought water bottles so I didn't have the purchase any and since it was for breast feeding purposes they did not make us throw them away. Granted this was all in 2023. You got this!

I took a chiller with 16oz of milk through tsa, they had me open it and held a test paper in the air over the milk. Took maybe an extra 2 minutes and they totally knew the drill

I had a bag that fit 6 bottles w ice and the rest I got rid of. I have however been searched head to toe w a bomb dog bc they said my breast milk was beeping 😆 it's a pain but stand your ground
