I’m an IBE-certified stylist, and I think it’s important to mention that excessive shedding isn’t always about the extension method. Sometimes it can be related to underlying health issues. That doesn’t mean the method itself is bad.

The matting is because she has left it far to long they shouldn’t be that long on take out

As someone who has had extensions for 21 years from keratin bonds, to nanos, to tape ins and wefts. From paying £600 - £2000, matting is normal if the hair strands have no where to go i happens. But also maintenance is key and move ups every 6-8 weeks is needed!

Her regrowth went way past 7-8 weeks, that’s why she had matting and that much shed….

That look like a very clean grow out but she definitely let it grow out wayyyyy too long but the shedding looked normal

I’ve always been told some of the natural shedding is just be held by bead and sown and not coming out like it normally would with natural shedding no extensions. It’s pretty much the same and fine

If a new guest has a lot of shed with extremely grown out extensikns (that looked like at least 8 weeks?) and wondering if she had push ups or reinstalls every time. Regardless, I wouldn’t be judging previous work until I have that client for a few cycles and know their care for their hair etc. whatever she had actually looked blendy and pretty in the before - but new hair is new hair. Can’t be compared!
