JB :
Water weekly the first season. Miracle grow every spring. Spray them with insecticide every June. I have 60 that are now over 15 feet tall. It’s a giant green wall.

They should not be planted in a straight line. They should be in a zig-zag line.

You're going to regret not mulching them as an integrated bed like the ones in the backyard due to having to trim between them. At least until they're larger and have unified as a mass wall. My sister did this in her new home back in the 90s and they have an incredible 40 foot tall wall to the neighbors that they both love.

Nice work, just not sure about the individual mulch rings, going to suck weed whipping around them and plus all the grass that will bet into the mulch

These comments are stupid 😂 it looks great. Water 3 times a week for the first couple of months and you will have great results.

You are going to love it, especially when they grow.

Scott :
As the comments indicate: I planted the same way but had the landscaper come back and edge out one continuous mulch bed after I tried to mow a few times. They grow fast too so expand the bed now.

So you just dug a hole in their lawn? Didn't pull up the sod and make an actual bed? That's going to be a nightmare to maintain. I wouldn't pay until you fix it

FlyGuyRevenge :
Why not one continuous berm? Going to be a nightmare in maintenance and you already didn’t start with clean edging. Who is mowing the lawn between them? Also taking bets 10-20 percent dead first year.
