cosleeping sure. bedsharing absolutely not. there is too much evidence to just blatantly ignore the dangers

Yeah no you lost me the minute you said not to shame people for co sleeping. I will shame them because it’s dangerous. That’s like saying don’t shame a Mon for leaving the gun safe unlocked in the living room

Co-sleeping is the only way I could get my kids to sleep for more than an hour. Co-sleeping was the only thing keeping me from falling asleep holding my baby where they will fall. And they slept soundly for hours being right next to me. And I never moved an inch while sleeping with them.

Idc about people’s sleeping situation as long as you’re not telling others that yours is the only way. If you do that you’ve opened yourself up for criticism.

Co-sleeping worked for us. But I was obsessive about the safe sleep 7.

Co sleeping and sleep training are not mutually exclusive either. You can not co sleep without sleep training. But I completely agree that there should be no shame as long as all the proper precautions are taken to co sleep as safely as possible

Agree to disagree with the mom that has her kid put together, and does activities with their kid, that they have help. My sister was a single mother and did everything herself. Not every mom has help and they do it themselves.

There are way to many terrible stories on co sleeping, but not that much on sleep training. I don’t think we should shame anyone for their lack of knowledge on co sleeping, but educate parents on the terrible consequences that could come with it

We tried to sleep train. She’s a year old now and trying again. We’ve co-slept since she was 3 or 4 months old (I also had a C-section so I couldn’t lay with her) but she sleeps so well between me and her dad. And that has saved us so many sleepless nights. I think every parent should do what feels right to them🫶🏻

my baby has refused to sleep without some sort of contact with me from birth. sleep training caused him to cry for 2+ hours at a time, and never resulted in sleep.

Umm I’m the mum number 2 in your list and I don’t have hired help 😂 you think we can afford that in this economy. I just love spending time with my kids and doing things with them

In short. #1-stop comparing yourself/experiance with others. #2-do what’s best for you and screw what anyone else has to say about it.

I was the professional nanny that was constantly getting cropped out of photos or had photos I had taken while with the kids posted by the mother like they were her own 😅 it made me lol everytime

I'm having my first soon, but I've done nanny work for my whole life. I've tried to tell my husband, who has 0 baby experience, that every kid gets dropped at LEAST once and he's absolutely not believing me.

My son is 2 1/2 now, and he was never a cuddler. He wouldn't sleep at all if we tried to hold him. I didn't need to sleep train him, he did it on his own and I listened to his needs. But I do feel a tinge of jealousy over those moms who get "nap trapped" by their babies. I wanted the snuggles too lol. But it just wasn't what worked for our kid.

I was so anti-bedsharing but started hallucinating from lack of sleep. It worked for us and thankfully nothing bad happened but I felt guilty every night. I would never suggest anyone do it 😭

Heavy on number one. I judge safe mom spaces where we can all admit to that first one without feeling guilty

I tried so hard not to co sleep with my second baby, but they wouldn’t sleep longer than 30 minutes in their own sleep space and I was constantly catching myself falling asleep while holding my newborn. So 9 months later we’re still co sleeping 😅

Keep the kid alive, spend time with them, smile at them, tell them you love them. Long as you're doing that, they'll be just fine.
