That last conversation never goes like you imagine in your head. You’re wanting your pain to be acknowledged and to know that you mattered to them because they mattered so much to you. You want all your efforts and love you poured into them to be appreciated and returned but it wasn’t in the relationship and it won’t be in the “final conversation” unfortunately. It just tears the wound wide open! You have to accept that this chapter has ended and move on because anything you say or do now with them only prolongs the pain and suffering. They made their choice. The only thing to do in return is to mourn the loss and cry your eyes out as hard and long as you need too. When you’re done pick yourself up off the floor, wipe your eyes and never cry for that person again.

turned 30 this year, and I finally realized that you shouldn’t waste your breath trying to explain yourself to somebody who just doesn’t want to hear what you have to say. If you’ve heard the term “if they wanted to they would” that’s exactly what describes it. If somebody wants you in their life they will go through the motions of talking to you and working through it. I just give it to God and move on and if they’re meant to come back around in my life, God will deliver them back to me healed.
