@pagesbysaba: A Stage Set for Villains by @Shannon J. Spann @owlcrate special edition I was very lucky and got gifted a beautiful proof of this book by @penguinukexport. I loved this book, so I was really happy when I saw it was OwlCrate’s pick for their February YA subscription. I really love this special edition; the reverse dust jacket and the endpapers are absolutely beautiful ♥️ I’ve been recommending this book in a few posts already, and I honestly don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. It’s a hard one to review because I don’t want to say too much; I truly think it’s best to go into it blind. Set in a mysterious theater, A Stage Set for Villains is one of the most inventive and original standalone dark fantasy books I’ve read in a long time. I was completely fascinated by the world and story the author created. Every time I thought I knew what was happening… I didn’t. I loved the characters (Jude and Riven have my heart), the plot, the atmosphere, and the way everything came together at the end was perfect. The theater kid in me was so happy while reading this story. It’s one of those books you finish and immediately want to read again just to catch all the details you missed the first time :) #fantasybooktok #BookTok #booksubscription #bookunboxing #astagesetforvillains
