I think over time he got tired of playing the role of the robot. The pressure to always be larger than life, to outdo what was done before, and to keep up this image of perfection had to be exhausting. Humans aren’t perfect, and maybe that was the point all along. Maybe he reached a place where he wanted to be real instead. To show his strengths, his flaws, his talent, and all the parts of himself that make him human. Sometimes being authentic means letting go of the character you’ve been expected to be for so long.

I decided almost last minute to go to his concert. I was already flying out to NYC in Jan and he was playing the weekend I was visiting. No regret! I went alone and it was hands down an amazing experience! This video gives me so much nostalgia of that night. Would do it again!
