@andreaglp1: 9 uncommon glp-1 tips that are so good they feel like cheating โ
1. Keep emergency protein in your car, your bag and your desk When appetite disappears you will not go out of your way to find food. It has to already be there. ๐ Protein bars, jerky, single serve shakes. Anything that requires zero effort or motivation. ๐ The days you skip eating are never planned. They happen because nothing was within reach. ๐ Stash it everywhere. Future you will thank present you at 3pm on a rough day. โ
2. Freeze your protein shakes into popsicles on nausea days This sounds silly but it works better than almost anything else when your stomach is fighting you. ๐ Cold and slow intake calms nausea way more than trying to drink a full shake ๐ You still get the protein in without the volume hitting your stomach all at once ๐ Blend it thick, pour it into molds, keep a few in the freezer at all times. Game changer on bad days. โ
3. Chew every bite until it is basically liquid before you swallow This alone cut my bloating and nausea by more than half. ๐ Your digestion is already slowed down. Sending barely chewed food into that system makes everything worse. ๐ Most people chew 5-6 times per bite. Try 20-25. It feels ridiculous at first. ๐ Slower chewing also gives your fullness signal time to actually reach your brain before you overeat. โ
4. Suck on peppermint when the sulfur burps start If you know you know. And if you do not know yet you will. ๐ Peppermint calms the digestive tract and neutralizes that taste faster than anything else I tried ๐ Hard peppermints, peppermint tea, even peppermint oil capsules all work ๐ Keep them on you like they are medication because on the wrong day they basically are. โ
5. Plate your food before you sit down and do not go back for more Decide the portion before you start eating. Not while you are eating. ๐ Your fullness cues are delayed now so by the time you feel full you already overdid it ๐ Use a smaller plate if it helps. Visual portion control works even when your hunger signals do not. ๐ One plate, pre-portioned, sit down, eat slow. That simple system prevents 90% of the discomfort. โ
6. Take progress photos of your face every two weeks Everyone takes body photos. Almost nobody tracks their face. That is where the change shows first. ๐ Jawline, under chin, cheeks. You will see it in photos weeks before the mirror catches up. ๐ Same angle, same lighting every time so the comparison is real ๐ On the days the scale is not moving, looking at your face photos side by side will remind you that something is absolutely changing. โ
7. Tell your dentist you are on this medication Nobody mentions this and it actually matters. ๐ Acid reflux and nausea can increase stomach acid exposure to your teeth without you noticing ๐ Your dentist can recommend rinses or treatments to protect your enamel during this stretch ๐ One conversation now saves you from problems later that are expensive and completely avoidable. โ
8. Log what you eat within 60 seconds of finishing the meal If you wait until the end of the day you will forget half of it and guess the rest. ๐ I take a picture of my meal and log it immediately in my DreamMe app and my data went from useless to actually accurate overnight ๐ Accurate data means you can see exactly what your body responds to and what causes problems ๐ It takes 15 seconds right after you eat. That tiny habit changes everything about how you understand your own progress. โ
9. Set a 20 minute timer before you decide you are still hungry Your fullness signal is delayed now. What feels like hunger is usually just a lag. ๐ Eat your portion, set a timer, do something else. By minute 15 most people realize they are done. ๐ This one trick eliminates most of the overeating and most of the post-meal discomfort ๐ If you are genuinely still hungry after 20 minutes, eat more. But wait first. Your body is talking on a delay. save this for later. which one of these are you trying first? ๐

I feel great on reta, just had my third dose. Appetite is suppressed, if I donโt hit my protein goals I make sure I have a protein pudding or shake nearby. I havenโt felt this good in years. What is strange (but good) is that my hormones and moods seemed to have calmed down as well.
