“it could never happen to me bc im too smart for it, only dumb ppl get scammed” is such a pervasive & sinister cope we’ve been taught to internalize. nobody is immune & nobody deserves to be taken advantage of! u cannot be exempt by distancing urself from the victim “oh i wouldn’t have fallen for that” but u might fall for the next one! pls do not feel bad abt getting scammed it can happen to quite literally ANYONE 😭🙏
