The act of surrogacy isn’t really bad though? IMO, the systems do need to change but surrogacy itself isn’t actually an issue but a selfless act.

Everything but surrogacy. My mom has been a surrogate twice now, and she loved it. Surrogacy is a beautiful thing when it’s consensual between both parties. But granted in Canada, you can’t actually be paid. You get all your missed wages and stuff, but no payment for it. Surrogacy is gray area for a lot of people though. My mom says it was the most fulfilling experience of her life, and she was so proud that her body was able to gift life to someone.

for people questioning about the sorrugacy, UN have made one great paper about it. They are against it because it's an exploration of bodies of women and girls and however it's "free", it's too much deep for the mother and the child ( PTSD, etc), nothing good in it.

I understand why you feel this way, and I think the problem you might have with all of this is that we are all extorted and exploited under global capitalism. These all intersect with money. On a large scale, there is definitely a problem. On an individual scale, the choice or lack of choice to do any of these things sits on a very massive spectrum, highly detailed and with complexity for some or most situations. These trades will never disappear, but maybe exploitative capitalism can be changed.
