This get cooler, those photons you captured take hundreds of millions of years to escape the sun, you took a picture with photons that were created before the dinosaurs were wiped out

the first time since apollo that an astronaut has witnessed the earth, but not "the first time we've taken a full image of Earth since 1972". there's been images of earth taken after apollo eg. the famous pale blue dot was taken in 1990

This is amazing it almost triggered my hyper fixation 😅😬 but in all seriousness how epic is it, that we got to see this image of our little tiny rock in space. Puts things in perspective we all live here and we can’t change that fact even if we tried😁
