HP OMEN 45L had the same issue and appreciate you sharing. Mine locks up completely. Out for a 2nd repair currently after replacing GPU and CPU. Repair process is designed to exhaust customers patience. 4 months since I got the system and still not able to use the PC as advertised.

I’d love to know how using a non standard motherboard saved them any money… at the scale they buy them any mobo will be dirt cheap compared to getting a custom one made

I'm having a similar issue where my PC's drivers crash anytime I play a semi-modern game, even on the lowest settings, even if the game doesn't show any songs of struggling, idk what to do, my best option rn is to buy a graphics card but I wanna find out other means first cause they're really expensive rn

! * SOLUTION * ! Please ensure you are using the GPU cable that was included with your PSU / Re-seat GPU / Upgrade PSU (Depending on Hardware) I was experiencing DAILY black screens - Restarts for roughly 6 months. Long story short, I was using a Third-Party GPU cable, swapped to the GPU cable that was included with my PSU and from that moment until now, I have NOT experienced a single Black Screen - Restart.
