He truly was “The Chosen One.” Before Anakin was born, the Force was out of balance in not one, but two ways. The Sith were corrupting the Force, trying to use it to create life and cheat death, while the Jedi Order had also become corrupted through its complete rejection of emotions like fear, anger, and even love. But those emotions were never against the will of the Force they are a natural part of every living being. The Force created Anakin to fix both of these problems and restore balance. Even Anakin’s own mother says he had no biological father, as if he were born from the will of the Force itself. He destroyed the old Jedi Order, and later destroyed Sidious and the Sith along with himself. Anakin was a child of the Force. It was natural for him to experience both sides the light and the dark before his death. It was just as much his destiny to become a Sith Lord as it was to become a Jedi. He even spent half of his life in the light (22 years) and half in the darkness (22 years). Everything about him symbolizes balance. He also had two children: a son and a daughter. Anakin Skywalker taught the galaxy the greatest lesson of all: love is the most powerful force in existence. It was love that broke his connection to the light side in Episode III, and it was love that broke his connection to the dark side in Episode VI. Love is stronger than the Force itself. He brought balance by cleansing the corruption within the Force both the Jedi Order and the Sith. And it is his son, Luke, who carries that balance forward by embracing emotion while maintaining control over it.
