KHALEESI 🔥 :
This just made me emotional because even though I grew up in a city, I had the blessing of also experiencing the village life setting. It was beautiful. I didn’t understand what I had then because of other people and issues. I wish we could know how good we have it sometimes. I had a piece of land given to me to “nurture” - I planted tomatoes and peppers and used to get so excited when they bloomed. Planted other things including yams as well. We used to sit under the shades of huge trees and eat roasted yam with palm oil, salt, pepper and smoked fish which we would take to the farm for lunch break. It felt like hard work back then - I can’t lie, it was- but looking back now, it was beautiful. Going to the stream and swimming in the cold springs on a hot afternoon? Heaven! I want to go back🥹
