I build with cob.. but its thermal mass, not insulation... so planning for summer and winter is super important. they breathe... can get a little damp... and they aren't warm in the winter ...they can be charged and warmed and stay more consistent in winter... and u don't want ur walls or floor to have earth contact because the earth will suck heat out... but..they are awesome. they're labor intensive but easy to build... lots of folks do cob workshop u can go and learn. now depending where u are, look up earthbags, strawbale hoses . and check out Sunray Kelley's hand built homes.
