i moved to the south of france in may 2025 and was hospitalised for depression in october 2025. i missed my family, i missed the stability, i missed my friends.. now i have a full time job after nearly 1 year of being unemployed and things are starting to look up again. so i totally feel you on this one. i did move with a lot of savings but just not working made life feel so dark and learning french was hard too. hugs to you from a fellow foreigner in france 🫂

same here. im british, moved to canada solo found a job commission only and I failed at the job. I had 8k in savings and burnt through it to be -3k in debt. it was when I found my gf that she helped me manage finance and gave me someone to talk to. 2 years later she's in the uk with me and im returning the favor. I know the struggles and I want to be there for her both financially and socially
