@deadwronghistory1: Phil Donahue asked Louis Farrakhan ON LIVE TV to explain why he called Hitler "a great man." 1985. No filter. No edit. Jewish leaders had called Farrakhan "a black Hitler." He responded by saying the only comparison was that Hitler rose Germany from the ashes — just as he was trying to rise Black people. Donahue pushed: "So Hitler killed six million Jews but his trains ran on time?" Farrakhan: "Hitler is no friend of Black people." Then came the moment everyone remembers. Donahue said you cannot call someone great and walk it back. Farrakhan: "The Bible calls Babylon great, but Babylon was not good. Pharaoh was great, but he was not good. Hitler is a great and consequential man — but not a good man." Greatness as impact vs. greatness as virtue. Most people will not touch that distinction. But is he wrong? Can someone be "great" without being good? #History #farrakhan #phildonahue #1985 #debate #historytiktok #deadwronghistory #BlackHistory #livetelevision
