@hairbringers: I remember when we first brought the boys home, they were so scared they wouldn't eat if we were in the same room. They were socialised enough for us to know where to start and yet, it took a lot of time and effort... And I wouldn't change it for anything. Doom and Gloon are some of the silliest, cutest cats you'll ever meet. Doom will beg for snuggles on his back and Gloom WILL chase you down for snacks. They are more and more confident every single day. Getting a shy older cat (or even any cat) from a shelter is a huge decision. But adopting saves lives. I want Doom and Gloom to be your reminder to visit your local shelter. Because every special kitty there needs their new homes.
