I remember as a child my grandma had health issues and my mom and 2 sisters where living the closest to her my grand dad worked but he worked close by so he always was able to check in unless we were there than he would come on his lunch and breaks now the other sisters that lived like 3-4 hrs away felt like a nursing home was an option mind you my mom was an CNA and worked in a nursing home that was the first time I heard my Grandfather cuss and he cuss real good to😂my mom took care of my grandma it wasn’t like she was bad off cos she wasn’t not for a nursing home they felt like she needed to be watched more which was why we were there every weekend and holidays.one thing my grand dad never played about was my grandma and she never seen the inside of a nursing home

Absolutely not. When I worked in a nursing facility years ago we had a woman that was a high fall risk. Almost daily she would fall. We had to lower the bed to the floor for her safety. She was still in the bed but was safe because she was only inches from the bed.

cna for over 25yrs if family visits consistently this doesn't happen the residents with little family interactions get minimal or abusive care
