These confrontations always go the same way. One - ‘Auditor’ baits the police while doing something lawful. Two - Police turn up and take the bait. Three - Argument ensures in which Auditor refuses to do what he’s told as is his right. Four - Police get tilted and (wrongly) threaten arrest because of all sorts of misguided legal nonsense - basically, “I’m Police and what I say goes” (more nonsense). Five - me and you pay for a civil claim (the whole point of the exercise).
