@hometalk: The EASIEST patio makeover using a shower curtain! 🌊😱 🚿 *DIY Shower Curtain Hacks* 🚿 I found the most beautiful shower curtain but didn’t need a new one for the tub... so I turned it into a custom rug for my patio! This is a simple way to get that "designer look" using cheap supplies from the dollar store. It was so easy to make and even easier on the wallet! 🛠️ What You’ll Need: A shower curtain with a pattern you love 🌊 4 Dollar Store mats 💸 Duct tape & Spray adhesive 🎨 Scissors, Iron, & Hot glue gun ✂️ Water-based polyurethane (to keep it waterproof!) 💧 ✅ The Simple Steps: -Tape your 4 mats together on the back to make a large square. -Lay your curtain over the mats and trim, leaving a few inches to fold over. -Spray adhesive on the mats and smooth the curtain down. Pro Tip: Use your iron on a low setting to get every single wrinkle out! -Flip it over, hot glue the edges down, and give the top a coat of polyurethane so it stays clean and dry. I always use shower curtains to recover old patio furniture cushions. they don't mold so no need to seal them. they do fade some in strong sun but I always get my curtains on clearance and use hemming tape, so its not a big deal to change them out every year or two
