Hey mate, definitely check out how shovel knight used similar technique. They were making their 2d platformer in 3d environment and found out they can use it to layer out backgrounds for more stylish looking backgrounds. Perhaps not too applicable for your game or the way youre making it, but its an interesting trick to know nonetheless
