Ax :
If God heals us and there is no change in the person, the following would be fulfilled: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow that has been washed goes back to wallowing in the mire” (2 Peter 2:22). Hebrews 10:39: “But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.” God heals, yes… but He looks at the heart. What good is it to restore the body if the soul persists in evil?
Often, “the Lord does not heal because He knows that some, if healed, would be lost.” “Many will be taken to rest before the end times, because they could not endure what is coming.” Today is not just a time to ask for healing… it is a time to return to God with all our hearts.
The Bible encourages us: “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call for the elders… and the prayer of faith will save the sick person” (James 5:14–15).
It also says: “Ask, and it will be given to you” (Matthew 7:7). God heals, yes… but He looks at the heart. Sometimes, He does not grant healing because He knows what lies deep within, and what would follow. In the case of children, it is different. They are indeed innocent. Their parents’ faith will be enough to pray and heal, if it is God’s will.
“I am the Lord your Healer.” (Exodus 15:26). “He forgives all your iniquities; He heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:3). “But he was wounded for our transgressions… and by his wounds we were ‘HEALED’” (Isaiah 53:5) “nirpá-lánu” (נִרְפָּא־לָנוּ), which comes from the verb “rafá” (רָפָא). It means ‘to heal,’ ‘to cure,’ ‘to restore’… like a wound that closes, like a body that comes back to life. “He sent his word and healed them” (Psalms 107:20). “Behold, I will bring them healing and medicine; and I will cure them” (Jeremiah 33:6). “But for you… the Sun of Righteousness will rise, and on its wings it will bring ‘HEALING’” (Malachi 4:2. “Marpé” healing, remedy, cure, restoration.)
Jesus Himself “healed every disease and every sickness among the people” (Matthew 4:23).
“O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me” (Psalm 30:2). God not only wants us to live longer, but to live healthy on the inside, ready for eternity.
