THIS!!! Drives me nuts. It’s rude and smacks of insecurity. If you can’t just be somewhere without constantly checking your phone/security-blanket, you’re insecure. And constantly checking your phone feeds the validity of that insecurity. People say ‘movies are meant to be seen in theaters’ and I agree but people checking their phones ruins it.

One time I pulled out my phone to text *before* a performance started, and my two Gen Z sons (23 & 26) were all over me telling me how rude it was, so their tolerance is zero! 😂
