The codices were made around the beginning of the 4th century CE, but the texts themselves date back much earlier: to the 1st – 3rd centuries CE. James Robinson [English] has suggested that the codices belonged to monks from the first Christian monastery , founded by Pachomius the Great . This is indicated by letters from Pachomius's companions , from which the covers of the codices were made; the site where the library was found is only a few kilometers from the monastery; and the time of the codices' burial (the late 4th century) coincides with the decree of the Alexandrian Archbishop St. Athanasius I the Great on the destruction of non-canonical texts.

I find it a bit funny how some people ask others to respect Gnosticism, but at the same time they disrespect Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and the whole Abrahamic idea of God. There is a difference between a debate and just mocking other religions. If the argument is basically “your Creator is actually evil” or “your God is the demiurge,” then do not be surprised when people do not treat that as some deep respectful discussion. Gnosticism itself is not even one clear preserved religion. It was made of many different groups and ideas. Some of it was influenced by Christianity, some by Judaism, some by Greek philosophy, dualism, and mystical beliefs. So before acting like Gnosticism is the “real hidden truth,” the first question should be: which version of Gnosticism are we even talking about? Also, old texts do not automatically mean true texts. The Nag Hammadi writings are interesting historically, but they do not prove that Gnosticism was the original message of Jesus. They only prove that these kinds of texts existed. Being old, hidden, or non-canonical does not magically make something correct. The biggest issue is that Gnosticism often reverses the Abrahamic message. In Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, the Creator is the true God. In many Gnostic ideas, the creator becomes a lower or ignorant being. That is not a small difference. That is basically rewriting the whole religion and then pretending it is the original meaning. And saying “Allah is the demiurge” in your previous videos makes no sense in Islam. Allah is not a lower creator under some higher hidden god. Allah is the one uncreated Creator of everything. There is no god above Him, no evil creator of matter, and no secret elite knowledge needed to escape creation. That is pure monotheism, not Gnosticism. Same with Dajjal. In Islam, Dajjal is the false messiah, not the real one. The true Messiah is Jesus, Isa ibn Maryam, peace be upon him. So changing the meaning of Islamic beliefs and then debating that changed version is not an argument. It is just forcing Gnostic ideas onto Islam.
