i unfortunately feel it is hard to disconnect Zendaya from Emma’s character. It is causing us to sympathize more since we know and love Zendaya. I don’t think her character would receive as much empathy if it were someone not as famous.

No way you guys will empathize with someone who planned a crime and also literally BROIGHT A g*n to school and made a manifesto. She didn’t just like daydream about it. Yet, if Emma had moved on and eventually committed a sh**ting in the future. Everyone would immediately point to the clear signs you showed in the past of talking about her history of interesting mass vi*lence.

i’ve struggled with intrusive thoughts in the past and have ocd as well. it upsets me that people reduce her thoughts to intrusive and thought because they weren’t. sure, she didn’t fully go through with her plan but she still planned it out? a person who struggles with intrusive thoughts normally don’t plan on acting them out bc of how scary it is and how bad they feel for even having that thought in the first place.
