@_candleinadarkroom: 🩵 April is widely recognized for SAAM, but it’s also Child Abuse Prevention Month—one of the closest things we currently have to raising awareness around Child Sexual Abuse.🩵 As a CSA survivor, I’m choosing to use my voice to bring attention to this. Like I said before, it matters just as much as any other awareness month—if not more. Our children are the future, and protecting them is how we create a safer, better world. CSA deserves more visibility, so I want to try something to help humanize this issue. If you’re a survivor, you’re invited to send me a childhood photo of yourself along with the age you experienced abuse by April 30th. No explanations, no questions asked. This is simply about putting real faces to something that is too often kept hidden. I’ll be creating a reel using the photos & ages shared. No names will be included. If you feel safe and called to be part of this, I would be honored to include you.
