According to police, he asked if they were Jewish before telling them to leave and calling them “dirty people,” then allegedly threatened the father, causing fear for the family’s safety. The father, who was with his young children, reportedly pulled out a firearm but did not use it, asking Zeeshan to leave while another bystander helped and called police. Both men contacted authorities, with Zeeshan later claiming he had a First Amendment right to make such statements. Police arrested Zeeshan and charged him with assault motivated by prejudice. Officials stated that while free speech is protected, threats and aggressive behavior cross legal boundaries. Was he an American citizen at the time? If so, he DID have a first amendment right to say it, though Florida has enacted an unconstitutional law infringing on free speech.
