@no.hoof.left.behi: 💔 Update on our brave old Jadis 💔 Last night was intense… Jadis was rescued in urgent action, and we’ve been fighting for him ever since. Against all expectations, the PCR test for piroplasmosis came back negative… a real surprise, as all signs were pointing that way. Blood tests, however, revealed anemia — his little body is exhausted and needs all the strength it can get right now. As a precaution, he’s been started on antibiotics and is under very close monitoring all weekend. This morning, he still had a fever… but tonight, it finally dropped 🙏 He’s still weak, but he’s trying… he’s eating a little, and that gives us hope. He also had soft manure this evening, which we’re watching closely to make sure it doesn’t get worse. (This is not from the antibiotics, as he hadn’t received them yet.) ✨ Jadis is a fighter. A true warrior. And we are right here beside him every second.
