@drwendy_physicaltherapy: I walked 15,000+ steps a day at Disney… and didn’t feel wrecked. Not because I got lucky. Because I planned for it like a physical therapist. Here’s exactly what I did: • Wear real walking shoes Not cute. Not trendy. Your actual supportive gym shoes + good socks. • Bring an extra pair of socks Dry feet = fewer blisters. Switch midday and thank yourself later. • Prevent the chafe before it starts Anti-chafing product + biker shorts = no irritation, no distractions. • Do NOT wear a romper If you know, you know. Bathroom logistics matter after 15,000 steps. • Compression socks (especially days 2–3) Your legs will feel less heavy and fatigued. • Use Voltaren Gel strategically A little on the knees in the morning + midday can help manage soreness. • Add electrolytes to your water. You’re sweating more than you think. • Plan a 3–4pm reset Sit. Eat. Find shade. This is not optional—it’s recovery. • Legs up the wall at night 10–15 minutes helps with swelling and that “Disney leg” feeling. Disney isn’t the problem. Doing Disney without a plan is. Save this so your feet, knees, and hips don’t ruin your trip.
