I type whatever words someone is saying to me or what’s in my head. I also have a constant internal monologue

I try to “half” and “divide” whatever sentence I’m saying to myself in my mind over and over until I’m like “wait, what was I even saying?” It’s weird even typing that bc sentences I can think of as numbers and equations…but I couldn’t translate it to words spoken out loud…idk

Nate :
Your internal forward--backward stim, is a rail(railcart) translation. It's sorta like pacing (where u have an orthogonalized moth arc), but it says: *"this hand is holding it, now it leaves the armchair, this hand (other hand) is holding it, now it leaves the armchair" and the cycle becomes the orthogonal.
Think of it as a way the brain says: "elevator going going" or, "riding a bike, lean pedal lean pedal lean". The activity becomes a superficial translation layer that ties itself to the recreation of the episodic memory "necessity of travel" (railcart).

Omg, I have the SAME pattern. I prefer to use groupings of 4 though as it’s means the first completion can then become a part of a longer sequence. I don’t know if I’m making sense but I get you.

Ever since I was little, I will write specific words that catch my interest out with my right ring finger, its so subtle that you cant see me doing because I dont lift my hand or anything but idk why i do that. Anyone else?

I do something similair- I “count” colors. Example: if I’m looking at someone’s eyes I look : black brown white (starting from iris) but not in words bc I also have aphantasia/no internal monologue lol

I just say phrases over and over, sometimes it’s lyrics, sometimes it’s an interesting word or phrase, often when I’m stressed times counting forwards then backwards. A lot of times I catch myself when I’m at like 27, 28,29 and I’m like wait, what am I counting? 😂

I do this! Sometimes is a something someone said. And sometimes I slip and say it outloud at least once without noticing and my partner would say "what?"

i usually have words/phrases or even numbers inside my head on repeat ALL the time, if i'm thinking what i have to say i have that in my head repeating constantly, example, if i want to say hi to someone i have “hey how you doin'” on repeat even before i see the person or text that, does that make sense?. so yeah i feel u

I do similar there are words or phrases my brain will internally say and they start looping. Always in the same order and pattern. (She also makes me vocally say them randomly but they come out looping more when stressed). Theres a tune that my brain hums when I’m stressed, experiencing high volumes of joy or verging on meltdown. I get stuck in an internal loop and it sometimes gets faster. I can never remember what it sounds like till I’m stressed, then my brain starts humming. It’s like she’s trying to soothe herself but is in overstim, glitches and gets stuck in a loop.

I don't have an internal monologue, but I do a similar thing where I play with my fingers (e.g. tapping on my knuckles of one hand with my other hands fingers) in a specific pattern, similar to yours, back and forth^^

I constantly recite stuff or sing along to songs but just saying the first letter of each word or the number of letters in each word instead of the actual words

Sometimes! It feels like a song so it makes it feel more fun and then makes the pattern art longer

I often repeat whatever someone is saying or a movie just said and really emphasize the rhythm of it to myself and sometimes tap out that rhythm on my fingers or clench a muscle to the rhythm

What??? I've had that same pattern all my life, but I don't do it with words, I do it with two different toned "beeps". Sometimes it's just moving my jaw in the rhythm of the pattern.

I mentally type phrases out on a keyboard in sets of 3, changing the capitalization or adding punctuation to make it evenly divisible by three.
