This gearbox gets a bad rep because of the name and because people just don't know any better. I've worked at Toyota for a bit now and seen these bricked and changed out maybe once or twice and Toyota has a very good warranty for the Hybrid system so they're paying for it too. Also drives really well, especially in the city.

Lexus ct200h wears that, never ever heard, read anything bad about ecvt issues.. Brake boosters/ actuators maybe yes, head gaskets maybe yes, battery wear and tear in the long run again yes.. But nothing for ecvt

en mi poco inglés😅😅, creo entender que está caja cvt de Toyota en sistema híbrido, no trae correa, no trae solenoides, cluht, cuerpo de válvulas. aún no he tenido la oportunidad de trabajar una de ellas, saludos de un venezolano en Perú 🫶🏻
