The Hebrew word for work is "Avodah" which means worship. This is the best account I've stumbled across

Every time I clean my house, I pray and thank God for having something to clean, organize, and care for. I am 39, single, with no kids. I do the same with my day job and my life. I chose to be single and constantly thank Him for what I get to do and steward. It is a rewarding and peaceful life.

Having worked in Higher Education for the past 20 years as a professor and administrator, I've been Intentional about making sure I don't leave my faith on the shelf when I leave in the morning. The university environment definitely tests me at time, but grateful God has given me the opportunity.

The Big John Show :
I don't feel it's God that is getting worshipped at my job. I am really miserable at my night job. I pray daily and nightly for the past 4 years for something better. It's more a prison for my soul. There's no mindset change, no positive rewards for good people, and it's a constant battle to keep doing it night after night that gets harder to walk into.
