we have no defensive structure, look at where wirtz picks the ball up during our games. Alot of the time its where the number 6 should be, and moments where he receives the ball higher up the pitch is where he actually looks amazing. Also look who he's playing with- 2 wingers who cannot beat their man, no defensive structure behind him either so he has to track back constantly. When our teams tactical structure both offensively and defensively is horrible, its very hard to even perform well when it doesnt bring the best out of a single player.

As a Liverpool fan I think wirtz ability level is high and he’s brilliant to watch. But that only gets you so far. Im yet to see him stamp his mark on any game which is frustrating for someone who possesses such ability and who came with such high expectations/ price tag.

Yesterday’s game cemented it for me. Some nice touches but when shit gets tough, he hides and disappears. Whereas Cherki, fraction of the cost same profile, picked the game up by scruff of the neck and tore us apart. Wirtz is talented, but he simply hasn’t been good enough for the money and hype he came with.

the issue I have with him is the same issue I have with xavi Simons, both clearly very good technical footballers but they seriously lack the physicality for the prem and can't keep up with the speed of it

I’m sorry but 116 million for a maybe player? How is that anything but a flop? Price has a massive influence on whether the player is a flop or not bc they have to live up to the expectations the price sets.

How can you possibly try and reel enzo into this?? This season alone: masterclass vs Barca, 2g/a vs psg, goal vs Napoli, goal vs city, winner vs West Ham just off the top of my head. Wirtz hasn’t done half as much
