@steven: How much power do intelligence agencies really have? John Kiriakou argues that intelligence agencies are often viewed as highly capable, yet have missed major global events. He also claims that modern surveillance allows authorities to access large amounts of personal data, sometimes without traditional warrants, and suggests that complex laws can leave individuals unknowingly in violation of regulations. Do you think privacy still exists today? #podcast #spy #cia

Incase everyone wondering some of the top felonies we unknowingly commit are Internet and Digital crimes, Financial & Tax Violations, and Regulatory & Bureaucratic Traps. What he basically is saying is that it is less about people being secret criminals and more about how easy it is for the legal system to criminalize ordinary behavior.

I like his views. Im former blue. One of the major reasons why I left law enforcement was that I looked at law enforcement officers initially at a very high level of professionals and very intelligent. Found out they are the opposite.

Yes but they need probable cause. They can’t just spy on you and charge you. That’s why we have due process/ and self incrimination protection
