@madison_ceo: You guys always ask me, “How do I read people?” or “How do I know who I can trust?” Here’s the truth: people always show you who they are. You just need to know where to look. Here are my 4 rules: 1. Listen to how they talk about others. If they always blame, play the victim, and never take responsibility… that’s exactly how they’ll treat you. 2. Watch how they treat people “below” them. If they’re only nice to people they need, they’ll use you too. No exception. 3. Give them a little power. Power doesn’t change people; it reveals them. 4. Watch what they do for money (or when they’re hurt). If they go too far once, they’ll do it again. Just not to you… yet. I learned this the hard way.
