@ivymalikofficial: If you’re still pricing based on time, you’re anchoring your value to the least important part of what you do. Because the client isn’t sitting there thinking about your hours. They’re thinking: Will this work? Will this solve my problem? Will I have to deal with this again? That’s the lens. So a more useful way to approach your pricing is this: What is the cost of the existing problem? What is the cost of it being done wrong? What changes for them when it’s done right? That’s where your price comes from. And if you actually sit with those questions, you might just begin to notice something mildly uncomfortable… You’ve been making your work (or yourself) smaller so it feels easier to sell. When in reality, the value was never small. You just measured it in the wrong unit. I say what might hurt, but I say it with love. X Ivy
