🥕🫜QUICK-PICKLED VEGETABLES 🥒🫙 Crisp, tangy, fresh and SO easy. One of my favorite ways to add acidity and crunch to meals—and you can do it with almost any vegetable. 🌱 🔖 Save the recipe and try it yourself! 💧 QUICK-PICKLE BRINE
• 2 cups water
• 1 cup white wine vinegar
• 1 tbsp fine salt
• 2 tbsp sugar Combine the water, vinegar, salt and sugar in a saucepan and heat just to a boil, stirring until everything has dissolved. Pack your clean glass jars with evenly sliced or julienned vegetables, then pour the hot brine over top, making sure the vegetables are completely submerged. Let cool for about 20 minutes, cover and refrigerate. ❄️ They’ll start picking up flavor quickly, but I like them best after 2 days. 🍋 LOVE A STRONGER PICKLE?
I prefer a milder, less vinegary brine, but if you love that really punchy pickle flavor, try equal parts water and vinegar instead. 🫑 VEGETABLES TO TRY
Carrots • radishes • celery • cucumber • red onion • cauliflower • green beans • peppers • asparagus • daikon • turnip 🌿 FLAVOUR IDEAS
Keep them simple or add fresh garlic, dill, thyme, rosemary, peppercorns, mustard seeds, coriander seeds, chili flakes, fresh ginger or turmeric. 🥪 HOW TO USE
Sandwiches & wraps, burgers, tacos, grilled chicken or meat, rice & grain bowls, eggs, hummus, salads, roasted potatoes and cheese boards, or just eat them straight from the jar. 😋 🧊 STORAGE
Keep refrigerated with the vegetables submerged in brine and enjoy them within a few weeks. I started with carrots and they’re still my favorite…🥕🤍 But now I want to pickle EVERYTHING. #tastemade #pickling #healthyrecipes #easyrecipesathome @Tastemade
