So true. Our female Shepherd also walked the perimeter of our yard every night on her last break outside. Our house was on a hill and she spent every day laying at the top of our driveway overseeing the entire neighborhood. Slept strategically in the house in view of front and back doors and largest windows.

My shepherds have always made rounds to check on everyone. Even when everyone is asleep. Also, they put their snout under the nose to make sure everyone is breathing.
