Stores needs to start offering better and cuter clothes again. Simple as that. I literally can’t even find anything like anymore.

Go back to shopping in person! That's has helped 100%. I don't buy anything without knowing how it looks on me. ❤️

Thrifting. Gets you high quality basics and fun unique pieces to try, all without spending a ton of money. Allowed me to experiment enough to develop personal style.

Get back on Pinterest. Create a new board and pin allllll the outfits and pins that you love. Then sit back and look at what pieces the pins have in common and start buying those pieces to build a style wardrobe

Invest in good quality, well fitted staple pieces - ideally in styles/ cuts that are timeless. Things you really love and feel great in and can be paired with a wide variety of things. If you cannot think of the versatility then it isn’t worth the investment. Then, you have quality pieces that will pair well with cheaper pieces that you can rotate in and out. Could be a boot or shoe, could be a dress or skirt or a blazer or sweater. Those tend to be the quality staples I have and they are pieces I always feel good in. This was advice given to me by my aunt who worked in fashion and it has served me well! For shoes/ boots especially- I have been buying second hand but gently used to save money! Stuart Weizmann boots especially!

I'm a stylist. My advice is play in your closet and develop a uniform and go-tos so you don't have to stress out about what to wear every day.

Dress. The. Hell. Up. I just am sick of wearing mom clothes all the time. This year I’m like screw it - I’m gonna look chic in the milk aisle.

I think the problem is the selection of clothes. They’re either crop tops or nursery home attire. There seems to be no in between.

Few things: You have to stop caring about how other people are going to react. Follow creators whose style you like. Get on Pinterest. Thrifting is the best way to find unique pieces. I get complimented on my wardrobe and so much of it is secondhand. Stop only following trends. Find what YOU like, not what capitalism tells you to.

Personal style is like a muscle, the more you do it, the stronger it gets. You have to experiment and be ok with looking ridiculous sometimes. Take pics of all your outfits and notice when people compliment you
