Lesley Harrys :
I held off reading Sanderson for years, mostly because of how much books there are and how convoluted the Cosmere has become. I’ve never been a big fantasy reader, and Sanderson’s books just felt like something that wasn’t for me. I finally gave in and started Mistborn last week and wow, I could not have been more wrong. It took me five days to read Mistborn, and I devoured The Well of Ascension in the past two days. I’m now waiting for The Hero of Ages to arrive tomorrow and I have to force myself to not start the Stormlight Archive in the meantime, since I ordered the first three books when I was halfway through Mistborn. Until this year, I wasn’t really interested in fantasy. I have now read A Song of Ice and Fire, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, the First Law trilogy, the Empire of the Vampire trilogy, the first Red Rising trilogy, the Bloodsworne Saga, the Kingkiller Chronicles and all eight Dungeon Crawler Carl books. And after the first two Mistborn books, I’m fully hooked on Sanderson’s writing. I’m kicking myself for not giving this genre a real chance for 40 years 😂
