A while ago I met an exchange student from Norway at school and her original host family was mean to her. She moved in with us and we made sure she enjoyed her stay California 🫶🏻. She’s coming to visit this summer!

As someone who’s family hosted for a foreign exchange student it’s a bit scary the experiences you guys have had.. me and my family actually became very close with the exchange student and now she try’s to come to our house every Christmas because of how close we got 🥲

one of my friends is here in my town as an exchange student, she got kicked out two months ago because her host family "just didn't care and didn't want to take care of her anymore." she was place in emergency housing until she found a new place to stay. shes the kindest human i know, so her getting kicked out was absolutely insane to me
