A Roth IRA offers more flexibility and control, but has income limits and smaller contribution caps. Not every employer offers Roth 401k. Yes. What I don’t like Roth 401k is that the investment is limited such as individual stocks!

And if you have a match do both! Get that 401k up to 15-20% and max your Roth separately every year and you’ll be set. If you wanna retire early and be set consider a brokerage on top of these.
