My son used to get irritated skin from tomatoes or other acidic food, we put aquaphor as a barrier to prevent it.

what about eveeytime you eat banana bread or pumpkin bread, your tounge feels like pins amd needles and your through gets slightly itchy and swollen? Like in a very mild way.

I am so glad I found this video! My toddler gets a little red but isn’t bothered and it’s kind of a gamble with what food products affect his skin... I had no clue contact irritation was a thing!

my kid had a contact reaction to ranch dressing as a baby/toddler. as soon as his face got washed it was fine, he still loves ranch 😂

I can eat acidic things without reactions but certain tomatoes and eggplant irritates my skin and mouth, I think there is an allergy link that hasn't been discovered

I have to wear shoulder length gloves when cleaning out pumpkins for Halloween because I get an itchy rash & puffy itchy eyes but I don't seem to have issues eating cooked pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread. I also can't eat melons or cucumbers which are in the same plant family.
