Jesus said, “My peace I give you; I do not give it as the world gives.” The world’s peace depends on everything going well and being in order. But Christ’s peace is always there, holding us firmly even when the world is collapsing and falling apart beneath our feet. Your conscious mind may try to panic and fall apart, but the peace of Christ holds you steady and secure, just like a rope firmly holds a bucket as it is lowered into a deep well. This is the invisible power of the One who holds the earth over nothing. If you are reading this, know that just as a rope holds a bucket as it goes down into a cold, empty, and dark well and then brings it back up filled with fresh, pure water, Jesus is holding the rope in His hands. And that is what He will do in your life and your story. You may go deep into the bottom of the well, but from there, you will come back with living water. Light shines for the righteous in the darkness, and all things work together for the good of those who love God. This is the grace of the One who sustains a thousand worlds, given to those who look to Him as Lord and Saviour. 🙌
