Zad: That's crazy! *laughter* Both: *loving chatter* Zad: *laughing* I don't wanna ruin the makeup. Interviewer: What made you so touched right now? Zad: I didn't ever think that I would have a family the way that I want with Lexi. It gets really emotional when I just think about them seeing us, and I'm like, will they like to see the footage, like we watched VHS of our parents? I would like to be able to show our kids, like, hey- like, this is how your mom and I were, like, twenty years ago. Lexi: - Yeah, we doin' it for the- the weird, autistic Black trans kids. Zad: Yeah! Lexi: For sure. We were talking to my grandmother, and she was like, "You know, you might not have queer, trans, like, autistic kids." And I was like... "Have you seen us?" Zad: *stifled laugh* Lexi: We already know that's what's going down.
